The blog is an arduous journey
First of all (cliché), coming up with something new to write about the grand adventure that is O’Brien’s Literary Speculator is laborious (simply another word, a synonym for arduous), and perhaps tedious for both the writer and the reader. But as this is a labor of love or vanity, it should leave a trail that can be followed by those who enjoy watching labors of love or frivolous acts of vanity.
Good news: Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium arrived by FedEx yesterday. The FedEx man had to walk through the sprinklers for which I apologized and he said, don’t worry it’s hot out and the water is cool and refreshing.” I knew instantly that there was magic in the box.
Challenging news: All of the programs are very challenging even for people with a full set of brain cells. Then I thought, “Hey you thought, challenge not problem, you’re on the road to success.”
Great news: The programs which are too many to enumerate come with over ten (10) hours of easily understandable instruction and a full disk of written explanations of how things work. So that is great.
Plus although no money has exchanged hands we have hired a very cool design firm called, Pungo Ridge and which can be reached at www.pungoridge.com. The head honcho is a very pleasant and easy to work with woman named Kelley.
Request: “Send me your typed, your proofread, your huddled words yearning to be published, the hard wrought phrases of your fertile mind. Send these, the agent-less, slush pile-tossed to me: I lift my lamp beside O’Brien’s Literary Speculator.” We pay twenty five dollars for anything we publish.
Happy New Year. Let’s make this one the best ever.
