The Flash, The Micro, The Drabble and The Dribble

It never ceases to amaze me how the creative mind works. When the big idea strikes and you are in the midst of editing or just finishing or halfway through your novel, how do you save it, share it, etc.? You can dribble it. 50 words of concise thought. Sort of a prose haiku. If you have a bit more flesh on the bones of your idea, drabble and that may have a final stand alone with no further work aspect to it. Which isn’t to say that a dribble can’t stand alone as a finished piece. They do.

But a for me the newly discovered dribble will be my word wallet. I was going to write word purse like man purse, but I’m not modern enough for that. So my word wallet or idea bag, why not idea purse? Same argument as I slide back into the 19th century.
